STOCKHOLM (AP) — Sweden's royal palace says Princess Madeleine has given birth to a son, just two days after she attended the wedding of her brother, Prince Carl Philip.
In a statement, the marshal of the realm said Madeleine gave birth Monday at 1:45 p.m. (1145 GMT; 7:45 a.m. EDT) and that "both mother and child are in good health."
The palace didn't say what the boy will be named.
The 33-year-old Madeleine is the younger sister of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Carl Philip. Madeleine and her husband Christopher O'Neill already have a daughter, Princess Leonore, who is 1.
On Saturday, the royal family celebrated the wedding of Carl Philip and ex-model Sofia Hellqvist at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
