GAUHATI, India (AP) — Police say a crude bomb has exploded in a crowded market in northeastern India, killing at least three people and injuring 15 others.
A police official in Imphal, the capital of Manipur state, said the blast occurred late Wednesday. He spoke on condition of anonymity, citing office policy.
More than two dozen rebel groups are active in the state.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
