BERLIN (AP) — A bus crash on a highway in central Germany killed at least four people and injured another 38 on Tuesday, police said.
The crash occurred near the town of Bad Hersfeld, about 100 kilometers (60 miles) northeast of Frankfurt, after a car collided with the bus, causing it to veer off the road and down a slope, a police spokesman said.
Of the injured, 18 were in a serious condition and 20 suffered minor injuries, spokesman Thomas Rodemer said. "We can't say at this stage whether anyone is trapped under the bus," he added.
The vehicle was carrying a group of senior citizens from southern Germany, Rodemer said.
