PARIS (AP) — Christophe Lemaire, the artistic director of Hermes women's ready-to-wear line, is parting ways with the luxury house after four years.
Hermes announced the news on Monday, saying that Lemaire would take his final bow on Oct. 1 after presenting the Spring-Summer 2015 collection.
There was no word about who would replace him.
In the statement, Lemaire said he was leaving to tend to his own label, which is "growing in an important way, and now I really want and need to dedicate myself to it fully."
He called his collaboration with Hermes a "profoundly enriching experience," adding that "I am proud of what we have built together."
Lemaire joined Hermes in June 2010.
