Magnitude 6.8 earthquake strikes off southern coast of Peru

LIMA (Reuters) - A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck near Peru's southern coast on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Society said, shaking buildings in the capital of Lima at least 300 miles away.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
