PARIS (AP) — French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius says the U.N. weapons inspectors' report on the Aug. 21 chemical weapons attack in Syria indicates it was carried out by its regime.

The widely awaited U.N. report does not ascribe blame for the attack, but Fabius told RTL radio Monday evening: "When you look at the findings carefully, the quantities of toxic gas used, the complexity of the mixes, the nature and the trajectory of the (gas) carriers, it leaves absolutely no doubt as to the origin of the attack. ... It reinforces the position of those that have said the regime is guilty."

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry meet in Paris Monday with Fabius and their counterparts from Britain, Turkey and Saudi Arabia about a U.N. resolution about destroying Syria's chemical stockpile.
