LJUBLJANA, Slovenia (AP) — Authorities say a woman who was injured in a hot air balloon crash in Slovenia last month has died, bringing the death toll from the accident to five.
Police said Thursday that the woman had died two days earlier. They gave no other details.
The hot air balloon carrying 32 people for a panoramic tour on Aug. 23 was swept in stormy winds and crashed in a ball of fire outside Ljubljana, killing four people and injuring 27.
The official STA news agency says initial findings from the investigation showed that the balloon repeatedly hit the ground and a tree before catching fire and coming down.
Authorities have issued a temporary ban on hot air ballooning following the accident.
