Hungarian police say they have captured a man suspected of fatally hacking four of his relatives with a machete and injuring three others.
Police say 24-year-old Csanad Jutas Horvath is suspected of killing his father, brother and two grandparents and of injuring his mother, sister and another relative on Friday in the central town of Kulcs, in what is thought to be a family conflict.
Police said in a statement that Horvath was found hiding not far from the scene of the crimes and did not resist arrest. He was later taken to a hospital because of injuries he is thought to have sustained during the killings.
Kulcs is located 70 kilometers (more than 40 miles) south of Budapest, the capital.
