Mexico's former ruling party is complaining about a fake campaign ad that suggests the party negotiates with drug traffickers.
Photos of a fake campaign poster that alleges to be for the Institutional Revolutionary Party have appeared in Mexican newspapers and on web sites.
The poster criticizes the current government for "ineptitude in fighting drug traffickers" and say it's party has experience "in negotiating with them."
President Felipe Calderon has suggested that some members of that party may want to cut a deal with drug cartels.
The party said in a statement Tuesday that it may take legal action against those responsible for the poster.
