Brazil's biggest airline says a computer glitch took down its check-in system in several airports across the country, causing long delays.
TAM S.A. says in a Friday statement that because of the problem, boarding passes and luggage stickers had to be filled in by hand.
It says its online check-in service was functioning normally and recommends that passengers do their check-in via the Internet.
In a second statement, TAM said its check-in system returned to normal at all the affected airports in about four hours.
Government airport authority Infraero says 11 airports in eight states were affected.
