Norway PM: Massacre memories will always remain

Norway's Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg says he will never forget the evil he witnessed when a self-styled anti-Muslim militant killed 77 people in the country's worst peacetime massacre.

In Monday's Christmas interview with national news agency NTB, Stoltenberg says the dark memories are still as strong as when he first met with those who survived Anders Behring Breivik's massacre at Utoya island youth camp on July 22. "It comes in waves. Small things can make it all wash back over me. It will probably stay that way," Stoltenberg said.

Breivik killed eight people in a bomb attack in Oslo's government district and then went on to kill another 69 people on Utoya.

Stoltenberg says "it's important (the memories) never fade."
