Police say a law professor shot and killed one of his female students in the Brazilian capital of Brasilia and hours later drove her body to a police station where he turned himself in.
A police officer says Rendrik Vieira Rodrigues fired three bullets into the head of 24-year-old Suenia Souza Farias, apparently because she wanted to end their 3-month-old relationship. The officer declined to give his name because he wasn't authorized to speak to the news media.
He said Saturday that Rodrigues could be sentenced to up to 30 years in jail.
Rodrigues allegedly killed Farias on Friday night.
