Organizers say more than 3,000 Bosnians have broken a Guinness world record in aqua aerobics at an artificial lake in downtown Tuzla.
With their pants rolled up and feet in water, 3,417 people exercised to the beat of music blaring from loudspeakers Friday.
Haris Mujcinovic of local radio station Kameleon which organized the event said they had registered the event with Guinness and are awaiting a certificate. He says he is certain the record set by 2,047 participants in Thailand is now topped.
The northern town of Tuzla has turned breaking Guinness records a summertime entertainment. In 2007, 7,000 couples kissed simultaneously _ a record broken two years later in Brazil. In 2010, Tuzla achieved the largest waltz with 1,510 couples dancing.
