Peruvian police say they have arrested a suspect in the killing of a provincial radio-TV journalist known for reporting on local corruption.
Jose Oquendo Reyes was the second Peruvian journalist slain this month and the third this year. All three were provincial reporters.
Oquendo was shot to death Wednesday in Chincha, a coastal town 120 miles (200 kilometers) south of Lima. A local police official told The Associated Press on Friday that a suspect was arrested Wednesday.
The Lima-based Institute of Press and Society says Oquendo had denounced alleged corruption by Chincha's mayor.
