Frankfurt prosecutors say two aging German leftist terrorism suspects have been extradited from France to face possible charges related to arson and bombing attacks in the late 1970s.
Prosecutor Thomas Bechtel told The Associated Press on Thursday that 78-year-old Sonja Suder and 70-year-old Christian Gauger were turned over to German authorities Wednesday.
They were sought in connection with two attacks by the radical Revolutionary Cells group on German companies in 1977, and a third in 1978 on the Heidelberg Castle.
They were being brought before a judge later Thursday to determine if there was enough evidence to hold them before a possible trial.
Founded in the early 1970s, the Revolutionary Cells carried out scores of attacks before disbanding in the 1990s.
