Swedish prosecutors have charged a 34-year-old Serb with war crimes for allegedly taking part in mass killings of ethnic Albanians during the Kosovo war in 1999.
The indictment filed Tuesday also accuses Milic Martinovic of murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery and arson in the western Kosovo village of Cuska. His defense lawyers didn't immediately return calls seeking comment.
Martinovic sought asylum in Sweden and was arrested in April 2010.
If convicted, he could face a life sentence, which in Sweden are typically commuted after 15-25 years, and then extradition to Serbia.
