PR woman accused in killing sees lawsuit dismissed

A U.S. federal appeals court has dismissed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit filed by a Puerto Rican woman against the parents of her slain husband seeking the majority of his wealth.

The ruling Wednesday upholds a district court decision that found Aura Vazquez failed to comply with court orders and delayed her deposition too many times.

Vazquez sued Adam Anhang's parents six months after the real estate developer was beaten and stabbed to death in Old San Juan in 2005. She accused them of seizing control of his estate and blocking her from it.

Vazquez has been charged by a U.S. grand jury with offering a man $3 million to kill Anhang. She lives in Italy, and U.S. authorities are seeking her extradition. She has denied the charges.
