BELGRADE (Reuters) - A convoy believed to be carrying Goran Hadzic, a wartime leader of Croatia's Serbs and a suspected war criminal, left a Belgrade courthouse and jail complex Friday and headed in the direction of the city's airport.
It was not immediately clear whether the move marked Hadzic's extradition to the U.N. war crimes court in The Hague, Netherlands. Serb officials responsible for the extradition were not immediately available for comment.
Serbian security officials arrested Hadzic Wednesday on a forest road in the Fruska Gora national park region about 65 km (40 miles) north of Belgrade. (Writing by Aleksandar Vasovic; Editing by David Stamp)
