Rescuers in southern China have called off a search at a mine where 23 workers were trapped by flooding two weeks ago.

According to the official Xinhua News Agency, two bodies were found and rescuers said there was no chance of finding any survivors.

Water flooded the mine in southern Guizhou province on July 2. Xinhua reported Sunday that the mine was still flooded.
