Iraqi officials say two police officers have been killed in a suicide bombing outside a car dealership in eastern Iraq.
Diyala province police spokesman Maj. Ghalib al-Karkhi says the bomber drove up to a security patrol as it passed by the dealership and detonated his explosives-packed vehicle.
Wednesday's blast in al-Hedaid, just outside the provincial capital Baqouba, killed two policemen. Al-Karkhisays 13 people were hurt, including five policemen.
Baqouba, 35 miles (60 kilometers) northeast of Baghdad, is at the heart of one of Iraq's most diverse provinces. Tensions between Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds there often lead to deadly violence.
