Israel's Justice Ministry says there will be no criminal proceedings against a soldier who posted photographs of herself with blindfolded Palestinian prisoners on Facebook.
The ministry says Deputy Attorney General Shai Nitzan has ruled the soldier's actions were "unacceptable" but did not meet the threshold for criminal charges.
The soldier, Eden Aberjil, sparked criticism when the photos were posted last summer. She said she had not harmed the prisoners and did not believe the photos were offensive.
A ministry spokesman said Friday that two other soldiers who posted photos with prisoners would face criminal proceedings.
Nitzan wrote to a human rights attorney this week that he had asked the military to "eliminate this disturbing phenomenon."
