Hospital: Paraguay's president free of cancer

A Brazilian hospital says the lymphatic cancer afflicting Paraguay's president is in complete remission.

Sirio-Libanes Hospital in Sao Paulo says President Fernando Lugo underwent exams Wednesday that show he is free from the cancer that he has battled since last August.

The 59-year-old former Roman Catholic archbishop Lugo has been treated for lymphoma in the groin, chest and the third lumbar vertebra.
