A police official says they are interrogating three men in Kenya who were arrested carrying bomb-making material.
Leo Nyongesa, the police chief in northeastern Kenya said Saturday the three men were arrested Thursday near the Somalia border the same day police issued an alert over possible terror attacks in Kenya by a Somali insurgent group. Nyongesa said the arrested include two Kenyans and a person believed to be Sudanese.
Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere has warned that the al-Shabab militia group has threatened to attack public places over the Easter holiday.
Al-Shabab _ Somalia's most dangerous militant group _ claimed responsibility for the double suicide bomb attack in Uganda's capital in July during the World Cup final. The blasts killed 76 people.
