Hungary's postal service has issued a commemorative envelope and postmark commemorating the centenary of the birth of the late Ronald Reagan.
Hungarian officials on Thursday hailed the former U.S. president for his efforts to help end the communist system which ruled Hungary from the late 1940s until 1990.
The commemorative envelope shows Berlin's Brandenburg Gate and includes _ in Hungarian and English _ Reagan's famous 1987 appeal for Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to "open this gate" and bring down the Berlin Wall.
The Hungarian text accompanying a postmark of Reagan's portrait mentions the 100th anniversary of his birth. Reagan was born Feb. 6, 1911, and died in 2004.
