Mexico's navy says a sardine fishing boat is feared sunk in the Pacific after searchers found the bodies of four crewmen. Five others are missing.
Vice Adm. Eduardo Villa Valenzuela says search crews also recovered the boat's net.
The "Kin" is believed to have sunk off Guaymas, Sonora state. Villa says waters there are about 260 to 330 feet (80 to 100 meters) deep, so it will be difficult to locate.
The area has seen high winds and strong waves recently.
The boat's owner says it last made contact Saturday night. The crew did not report any problems, but failed to arrive in port the next morning as planned.
Manager Juan Ramon Velasquez Esparza confirmed Tuesday that nine people were on board.
