NEW YORK (AP) — Business partners often disagree about how to run the company. Some, unable to resolve their differences on their own, go to a psychotherapist or executive coach for the business equivalent of marital counseling.
Many owners who seek counseling need help in learning how to communicate, work together and understand the issues getting in their way.
Jonathan Alpert, a psychotherapist and executive coach in New York, has seen an increase in the number of business partners who've sought his help for what's called relationship counseling. Some say, "Our business is suffering. We don't know why." Others, Alpert says, sound more like romantic couples.
