(Reuters) - A military helicopter crashed on a Maryland golf course on Monday, killing one person and seriously injuring two, according to a service that monitors emergency broadcasts.
The helicopter went down at the Breton Bay Golf and Country Club in St. Mary's County, southeast of Washington, according to a secretary at the golf course who declined to give further details or her name.
Broadcastify, which carries live streams of public safety radio transmissions, quoted the county fire and rescue department as saying one person was confirmed dead and two other people required medical evacuation to a trauma center.
County officials could not be reached for comment. TheBayNet.com, a local news outlet, said the helicopter was an Army Black Hawk.
