ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Sheriff's officials say they've recovered the body of a second yacht crew member who disappeared while swimming in rough water off Florida's west coast last week.
In a news release, Pinellas County Sheriff's officials say a boater spotted the body Wednesday evening. Deputies recovered the body, which was identified as 21-year-old Jie Luo.
Luo's crew mate, 27-year-old Andrew Dillman, was also found by a boater Monday.
The pair went missing March 14 after authorities say 15 Colorado State University students chartered the yacht. Lou was among five people who jumped from the boat to swim.
Authorities say Dillman jumped into the water when he saw Luo was struggling in the swift currents. Neither man was wearing a floatation device.
