LONDON (Reuters) - Global energy-related carbon dioxide emissions were flat for the third consecutive year in 2016 due to more renewable power generation and improvements in energy efficiency, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said on Friday.

Emissions from the energy sector were at 32.1 gigatonnes last year, the same as the previous two years, even though the global economy grew by 3.1 percent, the IEA estimated.
