PHOENIX (AP) — The Latest on a small plane crashing into a suburban Phoenix home (all times local):
The parents of an Arizona pilot whose burning skydiving plane crashed into a suburban Phoenix home say their son flew the aircraft as long as he could and was relieved to find out that no one else was injured.
Ryan Kilgore suffered burns before he bailed out of the plane Saturday night. His parents say he was burned while flying the plane as four skydivers jumped.
Jan and Bill Kilgore of Spokane, Washington, said at a Phoenix hospital that their son acted heroically and was "more concerned for others than for himself during a crisis."
The Gilbert couple who lived in the home got out safely. The home was a total loss.
