PHOENIX (AP) — Police documents and body camera footage show that a 10-year-old Arizona boy who has been missing for a month had been found away from his home before.
Authorities have been actively searching for Jesse Wilson since he went missing from his Phoenix-area home on July 18. Searches have involved drones, U.S. Border Patrol tracking dogs and citizen volunteers.
The Arizona Republic reports (http://bit.ly/2bpsn9Z ) that police records show that officers were called to Jesse's street in Buckeye on April 25 because a neighbor had found the boy in his garage. Police say Jesse was unresponsive and refused to let anyone near him. He said he wanted to go to school.
Witnesses told police they saw Jesse climbing out of his second-story window. His mother said she installed locks on the lower floor because he had tried to get out before.
