CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — A jury of 14 people chosen in the retrial of a Vanderbilt University football player charged with rape includes a woman whose sister was sexually assaulted and a machinist who was arrested on an assault charge.

The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/1UIM38e) reports that the jury chosen Wednesday and Thursday will be bused to Nashville on Sunday for next week's trial of Cory Batey, one of the four former Vanderbilt football players charged with raping an unconscious female student in a dorm room in 2013.

Batey is accused of five counts of aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery.

The jury was pulled from Chattanooga because of extensive media coverage of the first trial, when Batey and ex-player Brandon Vandenburg were found guilty in Nashville. A mistrial was declared in June.
