SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — A Syracuse University program that helps the nation's veterans develop post-military careers is getting another big donation from the financial services and banking company that co-founded it.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. says it's donating $13.8 million to the university's Institute for Veterans and Military Families. The Wall Street banking firm helped launch the program with a $7.5 million donation five years ago.
The latest donation extends the bank's funding commitment to the institute through 2020.
The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports (bit.ly/1XPftzE) a check presentation will be made at halftime of the Syracuse basketball game against North Carolina State on Saturday at the Carrier Dome.
The institute's programs provide education, training and job-placement assistance for veterans and their families.
