In this photo by Bernat Armangue, a milkman carries milk canisters in Ghaziabad train station, on the outskirts of New Delhi. India is the world's largest producer of milk and also the largest consumer. Train stations bustle in the early morning hours with milkmen delivering their goods. Some will make a second trip before the day ends. And then they will return to feed the cattle that in turn help feed their families. Indians favor milk in tea, on flatbread and in their favorite sweets, and it has sacred meanings to Hindus, who are the majority religion in the country.
