SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. (AP) — A 10-year-old boy has been declared brain dead following a fire in eastern Wisconsin that claimed the lives of two of his siblings.

Sheboygan County Medical Examiner David Leffin says Benjamin Martin was declared brain dead shortly after 12:30 a.m. Thursday. He says the family consented to organ donation, so his body has been kept on life-support to give doctors time to remove them.

The fire broke out Tuesday night at the family's home in Sheboygan Falls. Officials have identified the other children who died as 7-year-old Carter Maki and 11-year-old Natalie Martin.

Sheboygan Falls Public Safety Director Steven Riffel says Natalie had gone back into the house to rescue Carter and Benjamin. A 9-year-old girl escaped unhurt after Natalie woke her up and told her to run for help.
