SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (AP) — The body of one of two missing University of California, Santa Cruz students has been found on a beach near the place where a big wave last week swept them into the ocean.

The Santa Cruz Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/1Si4Wf3) authorities on Tuesday identified the body retrieved from a beach in Wilder State Ranch State Park as that of 19-year-old Shireen Agha Ahsan.

A mountain biker spotted Ashan's body on a remote beach Monday evening.

She and a 25-year-old man were on a rock jutting into the ocean when they were struck by a giant wave Jan. 18.

A third student was also swept off the rock, but made it back to shore.
