FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) — A man accused of killing a man who had appeared on an Alaska wilderness reality TV show has been released on bail.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports (http://bit.ly/1Nvkglv) 44-year-old Major Workman was released Friday after posting $60,000 bail. He faces a count of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Jimmy Gojdics, an outdoorsman who appeared on National Geographic's "Ultimate Survival Alaska."

Gojdics was found shot to death in May near his home in Fox, about 10 miles north of Fairbanks. Court papers say Workman shot Gojdics after he sprayed Workman's dog with pepper spray.

Workman turned himself in to Alaska State Troopers. Workman's attorney said he would not be a flight risk.
