SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police in Utah say they're investigating after high school students laced gummy worms with alcohol and prescription drugs and sent a teenager to the hospital.
Authorities in Brigham City told the Deseret News (http://bit.ly/1HUHySB) Tuesday that three teens could face charges connected to the doctored candy.
Assistant Police Chief Dennis Vincent says the sickened teenager told his parents he'd eaten candy dosed with alcohol and the anti-anxiety drug Xanax, though it's not clear if he knew the candy was doctored when he ate it.
Police haven't identified any other students who might have eaten the gummies, and high school locker searches haven't turned up more of the candy.
Brigham City is about 60 miles north of Salt Lake City.
