Making firecrackers by hand, jumping dancers in Tokyo and a campaign rally in Myanmar were among the images captured in photographs from around Asia last week.

Their hands decorated with henna, Indian women fasted and prayed for their husband's longevity during the Karva Chauth festival in Ahmadabad. In the same city, an Indian laborer used his bare hands to make firecrackers, which will be in huge demand during the upcoming Hindu festival of lights, Diwali.

An artist from Cirque du Soleil soared through the air in Singapore, while geometric shapes framed the silhouette of Nigeria's president after he spoke at the India Africa Forum Summit, which brought 40 African leaders to New Delhi to talk about investment and technology.

At a park in Tokyo, visitors strolled through a field of pink and white cosmos in full bloom, while in Beijing members of a Chinese guard of honor marched outside the Great Hall of the People.

As Myanmar gears up for elections next Sunday, opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi greeted supporters before delivering a speech during a campaign rally.

In Tokyo's annual "Yosakoi" festival, dancers pranced and jumped through the streets.

And in the world of sports, Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska raised her trophy after winning the WTA singles finals in Singapore.
