SANFORD, Fla. (AP) — A Florida man accused of shooting at George Zimmerman in a road-rage case has been convicted of urinating on his neighbor's porch.
The Orlando Sentinel (http://goo.gl/EeOMRx ) reports that a jury found 36-year-old Matthew Apperson guilty of disorderly conduct Wednesday.
A pool cleaner testified that he saw Apperson urinating on the porch in June.
Apperson testified that wasn't possible because he was diagnosed with a shy bladder when he was 8.
Apperson was charged in May with attempted second-degree murder after authorities say he shot at Zimmerman during a traffic incident. He was free on bond until July, when a judge ordered him jailed because of the disorderly conduct charge.
Zimmerman was acquitted two years ago in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black 17-year-old. That case sparked protests and a national debate about race relations.
