CINCINNATI (AP) — A man facing murder charges in a stabbing attack that killed one man and wounded four children, including 2-year-old twins, in a suburban Cincinnati apartment has been ordered held without bond.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports (http://cin.ci/1ZLIDle) that 20-year-old Akihiko Clayton pleaded not guilty Friday to the 16 counts he faces, which include aggravated murder, attempted murder, felonious assault, burglary and robbery.
His lawyer told Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Melba Marsh that Clayton had no money for bond.
Clayton was indicted in a July 2 attack that left 33-year-old Emilio M. Ramirez dead and four children ranging from toddler to teen seriously injured in the apartment. The children — twin 2-year-old girls, a 7-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy — were treated at hospitals and recovered, police said.
