HADDON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Prosecutors say after an autopsy, they still couldn't establish the cause or manner of death of a 3-year-old New Jersey boy found dead in a park three hours after his father reported him missing.
Camden County prosecutor's spokesman Andy McNeil says Wednesday that final autopsy results are pending, but how Brendan Creato died Tuesday is undetermined.
The boy's body was found in Cooper River Park about a half-mile from his father's home in suburban Philadelphia. Authorities haven't released the autopsy details and haven't said whether they believe foul play was involved in his death.
Also Wednesday, officials released audio of the 911 call in which Brendan's father reported waking up to realize his son was gone. D.J. Creato says the boy might have unlocked the apartment door and walked away.
