LA VERNE, Calif. (AP) — The California Highway Patrol says nobody was injured when a tour bus stalled and caught fire on a Southern California freeway.
CHP Officer Patrick Kimball says the fire was reported just before midnight Sunday on Interstate 210 near La Verne.
Kimball says all 38 passengers got off the bus safely and lined up against the center divider.
It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the blaze or when it began.
The westbound section of the roadway was briefly shut down so the passengers could safely cross to the shoulder to wait for another bus.
City News Service says the group was returning from a casino trip.
