NEW YORK CITY (AP) — Country star Brad Paisley said "God bless" to the hacking scandal that exposed users of an adultery website for joke material for the upcoming Country Music Association Awards.
Paisley and Carrie Underwood return on Nov. 4 to host the awards, which has regularly featured the two cracking jokes about popular culture and current events in between performances.
The two performed as a part of a Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum benefit concert featuring Paul Simon, Vince Gill and Emmylou Harris in New York City on Tuesday.
Paisley said the genre's top awards show was the perfect place to make jokes about adultery. And Harris added, "We built our careers on cheating songs."
