SAN DIEGO (AP) — Fire officials say an Amtrak train crashed into a truck that was on railroad tracks in San Diego, but the driver was able to jump out in time.

No injuries were reported.

San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Lee Swanson says the accident happened just after 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Mission Hills neighborhood.

Swanson says a railroad sign was knocked over and service was interrupted but was expected to resume later Friday. It was not known whether the truck stalled or the driver stopped across the track while waiting at a stoplight.

Amtrak spokeswoman Vernae Graham says there were 103 people on board at the time.
