OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (AP) — Police say an 8-year-old New Jersey boy fell from a second-story window during a game of hide-and-seek, sending him to a hospital.
NJ.com reports (http://bit.ly/1TBsRsN) the child sustained a head injury and was flown to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital on Thursday. His condition was not immediately available Friday morning but police say he is expected to survive.
Police say the boy was hiding behind window blinds inside a bathroom at an Old Bridge home.
Police Capt. Robert Bonfante says the boy's 11-year-old brother tagged him but pushed "a little too hard." The 8-year-old went through the screen and landed on a shingled overhang. He then rolled off and hit the concrete sidewalk headfirst.
Bonfante calls it an accident. Charges are not expected.
