STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Police say a man jailed on charges he robbed a central Pennsylvania bank has been identified as the suspect in a drug store robbery two days later in a neighboring county.
For now, 61-year-old Cecil Barnhart, of Connellsville, is jailed in Centre County only on charges that he robbed the Citizens Bank in Patton Township on Wednesday.
But police in Richland Township, Cambria County, near Johnstown, says a clerk has identified Barnhart in a Friday heist at the Rite Aid pharmacy in that community. Police say they'll file robbery and related charges in a few days.
Online court records don't list an attorney for Barnhart, who faces a preliminary hearing Aug. 12 in the bank robbery.
