LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say seven people were critically injured in a hit-and-run crash involving two cars in Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Fire Department says that the victims include a 1-month-old boy, a 2-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl, three adults ranging in age from 19 to 50, and one adult whose age is unknown.

The crash triggered a police search for a suspect who was seen running from the scene of Saturday night's crash at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Orange Drive.

Police Sgt. Clifton Frazier says the suspect was the driver of the car believed to have caused the crash.

Frazier says the suspect helped several people get out of his car before he left the scene of the crash.
