PLAQUEMINE, La. (AP) — A teacher in the Iberville Parish school district accused of having sex with students has pleaded not guilty.
WAFB TV reports (http://bit.ly/1gmHAGw) 30-year-old Keavin Keith entered his plea Wednesday.
Keith was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month on five counts of felony carnal knowledge and 30 counts of prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student.
Sheriff Brett Stassi Sr. says one of Keith's former students reported the two of them had a sexual relationship while she was still a student at MSA-West Academy, where he was a teacher.
Stassi says the investigation revealed Keith was allegedly having sexual relations with two other students, ages 15 and 16.
A trial date has not been set. Keith remains free on bond.
