NORTHWOOD, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a small plane has crashed into a corn field in northwest Ohio.
A Wood County dispatcher says the crash was reported at about 9:15 a.m. on Saturday. One person was transported to a Toledo hospital.
There was no information available immediately on the person's condition. There were no reports of any other injuries.
The field was near State Route 725 in the small city of Northwood.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating. A spokeswoman says the plane is a Piper 38 and was near an airport.
The pilot's name wasn't released immediately.
